Anu Murgai

Ms. Murgai is a Portfolio Manager in the New York investment team at Alphadyne Asset Management. Her focus is on global macro strategies, using a top-down investment approach and covering all global regions.

Before joining Alphadyne in December 2012, Ms. Murgai founded and acted as portfolio manager for five years at Suranya Capital Partners, a global macro hedge fund based in Norwalk, CT. This followed her role in global macro for four years at Shumway Capital Partners, and before that as an analyst for three years at Ulysses Management LLC, a global macro hedge fund.

Ms. Murgai worked twice for J.P. Morgan in New York, first as a marketer of cash and derivatives products to hedge funds for three years from 1994, and then in 2000 as a proprietary trader. For almost two years before her second role at Morgan, she was a fixed income trader at Tiger Management. Ms. Murgai started her career as an assistant economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

She holds a B.A. in Economics from Swathmore College and an MBA from University of Chicago.
